How to Ease Anxiety during CoVID-19

CoVID-19 the biological weapon has changed our lives. From the past four months, people worldwide have been living in the fear of when they might get infected with this untraceable disease. Schools, businesses, sports events, movie theaters, concerts, and almost anything that you can think of has been closed and maybe running remotely. Even if you may not think so, children have been affected the hardest. With schools closed and most districts implementing a pass/fail for this semester, students have a significantly less amount of work and nowhere to go. Friends have been sheltered in their homes, leaving each other prompted to loneliness. Kids who may feel anxious about this situation need to follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Follow the facts. Go online and check out the figures. Assure yourself with all the information to see that everything will be alright.

Step 2: Establish a routine. With schools closed, students may be tempted to stay awake until the wee hours and wake up late. This, however, gets old and perpetuates an unstructured lifestyle. Instead, try finding different places in your home to sleep, study, eat, and watch TV, which will give you a feeling of structure and stability.

Step 3: Self Care. It is very rare to get time for yourself. Now that you have it, use it! Do what you like the most, curl up with a pint of ice-cream and watch Netflix or play MarioCart all day!

Step 4: Staying Connected. Remember that even though you won't be able to see your friends for a long time doesn't mean that you should cut off all relationships and stop talking to them. Make sure to check up on all your friends at least once a week for some time and keep your bonds. This will not only make you feel better but also your friend.

Step 5: Focusing on the Positive.

During these tough times, it may be hard to look at the death toll and see how dangerous this situation is. But, what we need to focus on is positive. We need to see that although these may be difficult times for all of us, as a group we need to stay positive end look at the bigger picture.
